Better Services for TRAWQ Community and Beyond
At TRAWQ Indigenous Corporation, our aim is to provide youth in the area with activity and education services that extend beyond the normal school day. By extending our hands and our heart to young adults from the Tamwoy, Rosehill, Aplin, Waiben and Quarantine communities, we hope to bring discussion and cooperation amongst children from the various areas and in turn hope to enrich them beyond what you can simply find online and at home.
Local Support
We also intend to actively aid our local schools and other organisations by acquiring a community bus so that group travel and organised excursions can lead to further opportunity for growth and enjoyment for our youth population. This way we ensure activity that is not just exciting, but constantly diverse and refreshing for our ever energetic children.
Strength In Unity
So why is building a stronger community important? In this day and age when more things are becoming automated and it is increasingly easier to become isolated, it’s evermore essential that we provide means connection with our population that extend beyond just message forums and text messages. This insures not just a continuous transfer of information through communication, but as well a support system for our population built on the bonds for friendship and authentic care.
Activity Through Construction, Not Destruction
After school hours are obviously the time of day where vandalism and small crimes occur most. This is a direct result of lacking activity and disenfranchised sentiments about our local community. By empowering these kids with activities and greater means to succeed, they are less likely to apply their time to destructive activities and more likely to actively pursue activities that lead to better futures and stronger communities as a whole.
